I know gay Autistic women and men, trans, non-binary people with borderline and depression, and all sorts of combos. I'm a gay trans man with six mental health diagnoses.

It's not uncommon for queer people to have mental health struggles. The stress of being threatened constantly can worsen or even cause mental disorders. Nothing about queerness or mental health conditions is mutually exclusive, just as queer people can be any age, race, nationality, etc.

Yes, someone with mental challenges can also identify as LGBTQ+. Mental health challenges do not impact an individual's sexual orientation or gender identity. It is important to support and validate individuals regardless of their mental health status or sexual orientation/gender identity.
