The biggest misconception is that people think it changes their gender. You may swap some body parts, but biologically, male and female bodies produce different hormones, the brains work in distinct ways, and they react differently to other things. Look at Bruce Jenner. He says he’s a woman, but he still has a penis and a pair of testicles and a masculine-looking face. He went from being a man who is an Olympic athlete to a very masculine, unattractive woman with a penis and testicles.

Sure, he’s a hero for the left in this country, God knows they left logic and reason many years ago, but for everyone else, he’s a clown. Anyone who may once have admired him for his athletic accomplishments now sees him only as an obedient liberal who will only be helpful as long as the politicians need him. He will be tossed aside so he can continue playing dress-up.

Adults who transitioned years ago, who live as their authentic gender, universally known as their actual gender, have trouble finding doctors who will have the surgery and even more difficulty getting insurance to pay for it.
There are no doctors doing surgery on children. Okay, intersex babies often get surgery without consultation, but that’s not GCS.
Children find it hard enough to get puberty blockers to get them more time to get therapy and decide if they want cross-sex hormones. No one is operating on them.
